The average of these four consecutive even numbers is 27.

y + y + 2 + y + 4 + y + 6 = 27 x 4 = 108

Through this equation we can easily find out our required answer.

Let suppose the numbers are y, y + 2, y + 4 and y + 6.

According to the given condition;

y + y + 2 + y + 4 + y + 6 = 27 x 4

y + y + 2 + y + 4 + y + 6 = 108

4y + 12 = 108

4y = 108 – 12

4y = 96

y = 24

Largest Even Number = 24 + 6 = 30 answer

Conclusion

The average of four consecutive even numbers is 27. 24 smallest and 30 would be the largest of these even numbers.
