Now, number is known (y = 180). Three-tenth of that number (180 x 3/10) will be 54 which is our required answer.

According to the given condition

1/3(y x 1/4) = 15

y x 1/4 = 15 x 3

y x 1/4 = 45

y = 45 x 4

y = 180

According to the second condition

Required Number = 54 answer
