ASEAN And Stance of Pakistan

Pakistan in the present year also looks forward in becoming a full dialogue partner Of ASEAN which will be an excellent opportunity to get closer to the powerful regional grouping that ASEAN is.

Pakistani government has shown a keen perspective towards becoming a comprehensive partner of the regional group which will be an ultimate benefit for our country both economically and socially. For this very reason our government along with Malaysia and other countries has been making efforts to include Pakistan in the list of the full dialogue partner members. The organization with the mutual assistance of its member countries have moved forward and is planning to accelerate its projects in order to bring more economic prosperity in the region. It is hoped, that a day is not so far when Pakistan would be a member of ASEAN and can reap full benefits of its socio-economic policies.

Conclusion

To conclude, we can say that ASEAN is a full vibrant organization. Members can cooperate in different areas like economic, political, security, military, educational and sociocultural. Pakistan can reap full advantage of its strategic location and natural resources. Pakistan needs some pragmatic and result oriented measures. Border issues should be resolved. Terrorism and extremism should be uprooted and effective steps should also be taken to include Pakistan in the list of full dialogue partner of ASEAN.
